The European Bee-eater (Merops apiaster), breeds in southern Europe and in parts of north Africa and western Asia. It is strongly migratory, wintering in tropical Africa, India and Sri Lanka.  If you are interested in learning more about this handsome chap and viewing more photos, please visit my post on News From Italy. All commenter's will receive a visit back from me but no longer individual replies unless you have a question, which I will respond to here. Your praise and kind words are always appreciated but to keep saying thankyou to you all individually, in an original way is not easy.
