Circular Stained Glass Window
This is an old photograph that I found in my archives to enter this months competition over at The Retirement Chronicles where the prompt for September is Round. This beautiful stained glass window is to be found in the ceiling of a restaurant in Montefiascone, Italy. I will also be linking this post to NF Inspiring Photography

Welcome to my photography blog, where I share the world as seen through my lens. All commenter's will receive a visit back from me but no longer individual replies unless you have a question, which I will respond to here. Your praise and kind words are always appreciated but to keep saying thankyou to you all individually, in an original way is not easy. So I am saying it here instead, a massive thankyou from my heart for all the wonderful support, your comments are a great encouragement to me.

It is beautiful, and definitely round enough to fulfill the post.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful glass window and definitely round. That is a nice meme, I might join, have to see how it works.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful - so glad you re-posted it since I missed it early. Perfect for both memes -- I must go and visit Retirement Chronicles -- sounds like my kind of blog.
ReplyDeleteLove this shot. I struggle to take photos with back lighting. My little camera is quite capable but I can never get the settings right!!! Diane
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and a great contribution!
ReplyDeleteA fantastic display, not oversaturated with heavy reds or oranges, very nice.

ReplyDeleteA very beautiful photo of a lovely window. You have captured the detail of those lines so well - and the soft light. Thank you for visiting and your nice comment:)
ReplyDeleteA beautiful window and I like the interesting angle at which you've photographed it.
ReplyDeleteIt also makes me imagine what the rest of the decor in that restaurant is like.
What a beautiful picture of this window ! The restaurant must have been very nice !
ReplyDeleteThat is so beautiful...simplicity in design and yet, colorful enough to make it gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI am wondering where this beautiful stained glass window is. I know someone who does stain glass work on a commission basis - she really is a wonderful artist. Have a great week, and thanks for stopping by to say hi!

ReplyDeleteLovely stained glass and not an easy piece to make. My husbands mother made stained glass (mostly church windows) for a living and so we can appreciate the craftsmanship.
ReplyDeleteLindyLou....I love this stained glass....but I love al stained glass. I have pieces in my windows and as lampshades. It is so beautiful, and this picture is especialy pretty. Such a nice design. You asked about the city and the country reference on my blog. Well, all the houses out where we are are the old timey frame farm houses dating back to the civil way period. Then a few years back, right in the middle of all of us, a contractor bought up a big parcel of land and build what I call modern/city-like homes. There are 4 of them all in a row withhuge yards in the front of them. Hope that explains what I meant. genie
ReplyDeleteOh, this is beautiful! It would be absolutely perfect for WWDD :)
ReplyDeleteIt's really lovely!
ReplyDeleteIt is so beautiful! Thanks for sharing! I wish you a great sunday!
