World at Work - Fabric Weaving - Mandalay - Myanmar

I have come up with an idea that fits with the Our World Tuesday  meme that I enjoy participating in. The theme is World at Work and I plan to share photos that I have taken on my recent travels of people literally at work!
The selection shared today show Fabric Weaving in Mandalay.

  1. Looks very familiar to me, have visited such places in Morocco and Tunisia, I have also worked for a textile fibre company and have visited the modern looms together with people from Germany, and Italy and had to translate the conversations for the American bosses !

  5. We come from a mill town. Bates Mills and so have seen the vintage photos of the old mills that employed mostly the French from Quebec. It is fascinating to see. I wonder if these people enjoy their work. I think it looks as if it could be back breaking to be bent over one's work all day.

Welcome to my photography blog, where I share the world as seen through my lens. All commenter's will receive a visit back from me but no longer individual replies unless you have a question, which I will respond to here. Your praise and kind words are always appreciated but to keep saying thankyou to you all individually, in an original way is not easy. So I am saying it here instead, a massive thankyou from my heart for all the wonderful support, your comments are a great encouragement to me.
