  1. Another beautiful photo Linda. Such a wonderful colour. That's one of the nice things I enjoy about going abroad, and, that is, seeing all the pretty Bougainvillea.

  3. Such a nice photo. We had a whole wall of bougainvillea surrounding our pool when we lived in Arizona. This photo makes me a wee bit homesick!

  5. A beautiful macro image LindyLou ... I have a very dark red bougainvillea on my side fence which is actually growing on my neighbors property but fortunately I get to enjoy the flowers.
Hope your week is going well in beautiful Italy.

  7. Those little white floral centers are so sweet and pretty. You did a fabulous job with this floral macro shot. The light adds so much. It makes me think of a hymn we sang as little children..."All Things Bright and Beautiful". You picture is bright and it is beautiful. genie

  10. I love this flower and someday I am going to learn how to spell it! One we didn't see until we started traveling as it doesn't grow in the Pacific Northwest.

  15. we have two of these beauties, one in the front and one in the side yard. i just found out today from a friend that the culprit of their bathroom plumbing problems is the roots of the bougainvillea that have crawled into their pipes in the back yard, she said one root was the size of her leg. now i am fretting over ours.

  21. Ahhhh, this photo is bedazzling! I LOVE Bougainvillea! We had a big, gorgeous one when we lived in Texas that I just couldn't leave behind, so I insisted we bring it with us when we moved to northern Wyoming. I was SO naive and ridiculously optimistic! How I wish someone would hybridize a Zone 3 Bougainvillea. :-)
