Sweet Chestnuts

An autumnal favourite of ours and we enjoyed them freshly roasted in an open fire over the weekend.

  8. I don't think I have ever tried chestnuts, well I can't remember trying them but I do like my nuts Almonds and Cashews.....are my favourties....

  17. Looks like a little hedgehog ! This year I have only seen very few chestnuts, due to the awful weather, they didn't grow.

    Growing up we had a chestnut tree up on the hill above our home. My Dad always collected them and cracked them open for us. I prefer them raw.

  25. I've never seen a chestnut in this state before. Well actually I have but I didn't know it was a chestnut, lol. Some day I would like to eat a roasted chestnut as in the Christmas song. Happy rest of the week to you.
