30th March 2013 - Tywyn Beach, Gwynedd, Wales.
Good News about my husband, after three months of hospitalisation he is at last home with me. Just in time for Easter and to enjoy the beautiful weather, cold but sunny, on the west coast of Wales. He has a long convalescence ahead of him but hopefully the worst is now behind us, we are both very touched by all the wonderful support followers of my blogs have given me during this difficult time. A big thankyou to you all.
Time and attention do the trick for most ailments. Take good care of him, and good care of yourself too. I know what happens when the caretaker has nobody to take care of her, doing too much, too often, neglecting her own health and well-being. Do get substitutes on a regular basis to clean and cook for you both. I know your husband will enjoy the attention he'll get and will be too busy with his own recovery to think about anyone or anything else.
ReplyDelete(I have been through these things and the toll on the caregiver is heavy!)
Happy to hear your husband is back home, enjoy Easter.
ReplyDeleteGreetings,
Filip
So happy that David is now back with you again. It must be such a relief for you both . I pray that he will now begin to feel a little better each and every day. Don't forget to take care of YOU as well!
ReplyDeleteso happy he is back home with you. that photo is fantastic. i just sat and stared and stared... you will need prayers to, along with him, caregivers have a tough row to hoe, just like the patient does.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad to hear that your husband is at home and know that means so much to you! Three months in the hospital must have seemed forever to him! Hope that he continues to progress even faster than you anticipate! Best to you! Jeanne

So happy to hear that your husband has returned from the hospital and that you have the support of your sister as he recovers. My husband is awaiting surgery that has now been delayed but we are readying the house for his recovery period which will last 6 weeks. Best wishes for a wonderful spring and there will be time for all the things you had hoped to do this summer. Keep smiling Lindy!
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful news! Savor every moment! Like the one you caught in your photo! Beautiful!

Que ótima notÃcia. Muito bom que teu marido já está em casa. Sei bem disso e do que sentimos dentro de um hospital. Agora a recuperação será tranquila. Fiquem bem, beijos pra ti e te cuida também. Tudo de bom, chica
ReplyDeleteHi Lindy -- I know I've been here before, but back to say I just read the temporary wrap up on your other blog, but couldn't leave a comment for some reason. Just wishing your sweet husband continued healing and best wishes for the next chapter and eventual return to your beautiful Italy!
