Orange Fruit

As I am joining Alphabet Thursday today I decided to use these photos of Orange Fruit as it is Letter O this week. The fruit in the first photo are either Tangerines, Mandarins, Satsumas, or maybe Clementines, all members of the Orange family. I think they were Satsuma's but not sure if I am right. Do you agree with me?

I hope no one takes offence with the second photo but the market trader obviously had a risqué sense of humour!

Faces on Friday - Blanket Man - Bansko

In a recent post on Travel Tales I shared photos of  Market Day in Bansko and one of the photos featured brightly coloured blankets, similar to the one this young man is wearing.  One of the comments I received mentioned that they reminded the commenter of Native American Woven Blankets, as they did me. Hannah this photo is for you.  Although this man was in fact touting for trade for a restaurant, wearing a traditional blanket to keep warm was a good advertising ploy. My brother-in-law and I stopped and had a conversation with him and he explained that traditionally Bulgarian shepherds wear these blankets in the mountains when they are out with their herds.

What a colourful way to keep warm.
