Our World Tuesday |
Continuing with my World at Work series of photos taken on my travels. Today I have chosen photos of Washday in Myanmar on the River Ayeyarwady River.
If you are interested in seeing more photos of this beautiful country I have written a series of posts on my Travel Tales blog.
This reminds me of so many places washing in Africa. Even my Mum did the washing like this when we did the drive across Africa :-) Take care Diane
ReplyDeleteAmazing way to do the washing. All the best, Bonny
ReplyDeleteWay to wash and dry!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great theme idea...and the pictures are great. I can remember scenes of women washing and drying saris (or were they sarongs..too long ago ) of beautiful colours.I enjoyed your series:)
ReplyDeleteNice pics. Like Diane from Food, Fun, etc. says, it reminds me of washing in Africa.
ReplyDeleteWonderful post! Thanks for sharing wash day at the river! Great shots!
ReplyDeleteSuch great photos of everyday life there. Sure is food for thought! I’m sure I will look at my washer and dryer in a different way tomorrow morning.
ReplyDeleteI love this series you are doing LIndy; the jobs (and domestic chores) people do tell so much about a place. This is a beautiful post with all the bright colors ... such great pictures of both the people and scenery.
